pois ela ia rever umas amigas conterranas (do Maranhão).

Hahaha...
Vamos combinar ... não dá pra não rir, né!

Hard work pays off ~

At the end of last school year, six students from my previous group of Grade 4 took a Young Learner English exam called MOVERS by they University of Cambridge.

Young Learners English (YLE) is a reliable and consistent measure of how well your child is doing in the skills of listening, speaking and reading and writing. Tests are designed to make learning fun and children are encouraged by working towards certificates and earning the 'shields' that record their progress.

Well, of the six students who took the test,
five of them got 100% on the Exam!!!
That means that their English is SUPER! ^^ Today was one of the many days that my students brought me joy. As the school held a little cerimony and I gave them their certificates (little diplomas... hehe...), I felt a sense of accomplishment as a teacher... thinking to myself that all the "No Portuguese in class!" and the "English only!!" ... somehow worked out! Hahah... Of course I have to take into consideration their prior knowledge of the language and all the other English teachers they've had before me ... But hey! One whole year "drilling" good and proper English into their brains wasn't easy~

Those who know me know that I'm not so good with words... and that I'm not the most articulate person in the world. And obviously that's what happened today as I was given the opportunity to congratulate my students in front of the entire school (parents, relatives
and even other teacher... aaaargh!!) >.<

Artur P., Carol L., Catherine P., J.P.,
Luanna R., Nathalia F.
... YOU ROCK!! ^^

El Kabong

Estava morreeeendo de vontade de comer comida mexicana
e meu amigo Rodney me levou no El Kabong ...

Hahah...

~ huahuahuahua ~

Nessa ultima foto (abaixo), a minha cabeca aparenta menor?!
... Rodney tirou a foto desse angulo
dizendo que da esse efeito ...

World Water Day

I woke up this morning
just like any other Saturday morning.
I sat on the couch in the living-room
... laid down, actually ... ^^
and turned on the TV. Well, for my surprise,
I discovered that TODAY, March 22, 2008,
is the WORLD WATER DAY!!!
I bet you didn't know that either, huh!!
All right, I guess I'm the only one not up-to-date
with the 'special events' of the world.
Water is sooooooo essencial
and no one lives without it ...
We need to save our world!! >.<
Each drop of water is so important and precious.
I love it too much to just let it die away like that!

No words needed...

Drawing your family tree...

Hopefully every adult or at least most of them
sometime in his/her life have drawn a family tree.
Of course that this wonderful experience for my students
had to be with me! HUAHUAHUAHUA... they're so artistic!!
Some even included their pets in their family tree!! @.@
... yah ... no comments, please! Hahaha...

If you haven't made your own ... try it!

Estou lendo ...

Sempre amiga ~

Essa minha amiga é muito querida.

Egg fun

Haha... look what I found!!
If you get bored this Easter Sunday
and feel like having some eggs...
here's an idea ... have a go at it! ^.~

Easter Chocolate Party~

Oh man... another Easter coming around!!
I have to admit that I love chocolate
... especially when they're given me by my precious students.
'Chocolate' moments like these are when I comfort myself
for having taken this profession! HUAHUAHUA... ^^
Just imagine how much their parents spent
buying all these chocolates ... $$$$$
... this doesn't change anything that I said about Easter last year ...
~I tried to take some pictures of it all~
