Tinha exposição da Tarsila do Amaral

... mas não pude tirar fotos ... não era permitido ...

Claro que ela é uma artista/pintora brasileira super famosa

e suas obras são bem conhecidas, como o Abaporu e A Negra.

Hoje aprendi que... ^^ ela tinha sido presa

durante o governo de Getúlio Vargas

por um tempo quando voltou da Rússia...

onde ela pintou Operários e Segunda Classe

Mas pra ser sincera, não achei lááááá essas coisas.
Vi tantas outras coisas mais legais e divertidas...

Me senti envergonhada...

Sou filha de coreanos, logo sou coreana.

Não me envergonho de assumir esse fato.

Porém, confesso que a notícia vergonhosa me tomou de surpresa!!

... sei lá ... não vou dizer que sou uma verdadeira ingênua, mas ...

sempre quis acreditar que nós coreanos fossemos certinhos,

pelo menos até um certo ponto... Creio que esse preconceito

que tenho do meu povo seja devido às pessoas

as quais me relaciono - pessoas Cristãs,

que seguem os princípios de Deus da melhor maneira possível.

Graças à Deus eles foram pegos. Espero que eles aprendam!

Polícia prende 40 em suposto ponto de prostituição

no centro de SP

Cerca de 40 pessoas foram presas na noite desta quinta-feira (28)

em um prédio onde funcionava um suposto ponto de prostituição

na rua Júlio Conceição, 737, no bairro do Bom Retiro,

no centro de São Paulo.
Entre os presos estão mulheres coreanas que eram trazidas

para trabalhar como garotas de programa no local.

Segundo informações da Polícia Militar,

todas foram detidas sem os documentos e nenhuma fala português.

A polícia vai apurar se há menores no grupo.
Dois homens identificados como donos e os freqüentadores do local

também foram presos

e devem prestar esclarecimento nesta sexta-feira

na superintendência da Polícia Federal, na zona oeste.

Todos os detidos tem nacionalidade coreana ou são descendentes.
A PM informou que os donos podem responder pelos crimes

de favorecimento à prostituição, contrabando e

tráfico internacional de mulheres.
De acordo com a PM, uma denúncia anônima levou

a uma investigação contra a casa de prostituição

que durou cerca de um mês.

Uma ação conjunta das polícias Militar e Federal

deflagrada por volta das 22h30 revelou o local.

A weekend at Rio

All right, I must say that I had the HUGE-est expectation

to see Rio again after twenty years

... go on the Pão de Açúcar, see the Cristo Redentor ...

you know, the usual touristic stuff ~

but it just didn't turn out exactly how I'd imagined.

... unfortunatelly, the entire weekend was gloomy ...

HOWEVER, we made it the best and the most enjoyable as possible

under our conditions ... hehehe ... ^^

This special friend on the pictures is Maíra, a friend from work

... the one who took me to eat hot-dog last year ...

... huahuahuahua ...

Je suis malade!

I've been caughing non-stop

and got a mega-irritating runny nose

... which have been bothersome

for the last month or so~

Gotta confess that I thought

it was my normal/usual

sore throat for stressing with work and

'screaming' my guts out at my kids!

Hahaha... just kidding...

I don't scream at my students,

no way!!

Hopefully I'll never have to ...

cuz I'm just the good kind of a teacher.

Anyways, for the last few nights, I haven't been able to sleep well,

consequently making my loving/lively days with my students

really tiresome and stressing... even sleeping on the bus

while I commute from one workplace to another!

... never thought I'd do that ...

always thought ppl who slept on the bus were wierd~

Well, I had to put an end to this... so I missed my morning's work

and payed (R$ 150) a visit to the doctor at a clinic close by.

For my 'surprise', I was diagnosed with faringitis and bronchitis! >.<

I wanted to cry... the doctor said that if I'd taken a bit longer ...

it would have turned to a pneumonia ... and I would have been 'hospitalized'!

@.@ NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~

He perscribed a whole bunch of medication...

and I had to buy them. (Another R$150)

Well, I have a lot of faith that I'll get better and be completely cured

in two weeks time. ^^ hehehe... And if I truly am better by then,

I'll call the doctor to thank him. Hahah...

OF COURSE I've been praying!! He knows...
