My Festa Junina ~ 1985

I knew I had gotten some of my own Festa Junina pictures

from back in the days~ hahaha...

All these 'hill billy' dancing and costume I've been seeing

reminded me of the days when I had to dance them as well.

So I decided to blog them too!!
Notice how cute my partner was ... hehehe...

Festa Junina - Bis

This Festa Junina was at BIS,

and I was 'in charge' of bowling again!

... Didn't really do anything ... just talked and took pictures.

Eduardo (Mr. Rodriguez) was working with me in the bowling booth

and guess what! Hahaha... his sneakers got messed up

and I taped it with some kind of masking tape!

... so as my kids came to see me I took pictures with them ...

Now, they're all getting ready for the Quadrilha ...

and one of the girls didn't come to the party so I had to take her place.

I wasn't able to take any pictures, but it was so fun.

The gentleman who danced with me was Lucas

... it was an honor! ^^

Unexpected Love~

The bell rang for the students to get their backpacks and

get ready to go home as their names were called out on the speaker.

Suddenly, my sweet little student came to me

with something quite big wrapped on a colourful gift paper

saying, "Miss Kang, this is for you!" ... with a huget smile on her face.

I was a quite shocked, for a present is the last thing I expect

from any of my students ... from anyone, actually~

I even asked her, "What's the occasion, honey?"

She just smiled. ^^

This girl is one my of dearest students

... not just because she's Korean ... hahahah...

but because she's so kind, always happy, caring, spontaneous ...

she just makes everyone around her so happy.

It's really amazing how God shows his love for me in these ways.

Honestly, I wasn't feeling so well lately
... emotionally super down ...

... total low self-esteem ...

Thank you God!

Snapping with my kidzzz~

For the last couple years ...
I've always felt SOOO happy to leave work,
cuz ... believe it or not ...
I'd always find something more 'fun' to do afterwards,
but today I a little sorrow took over me as I left my workplace.

My dear students know now that I'll no longer be at BIS

and they have been much more affectively bonded to me

these last couple of days.

It just breaks my heart that I'll have to leave them

in the middle of a school year, but I'm sure God's someone

prepared to take over my position ...

who could be much more skilled to be their teacher.

These kids are a great bunch!

... of course they get a little too carried away ...

but it's part of being a student, eh!

There are officially six more days till I'm out of there,

so I guess I'll just enjoy them as much as I can

until that day comes.
