São Paulo STORM

I had NO IDEA ... there was American Football here in Brazil!
... until Daniel told me the other day that he saw some people
practicing a quite familiar game to him ...
of course I wouldn't have figured it out
with my limited knowledge of the sport!
HAHAHAHA ... and guess what, Daniel is in the team (#8).
It's called São Paulo STORM.
Apparently, there are several all over the country
and there are championships ... etc~



The match this past Saturday was in Sorocaba,
a city 1,5 hours from São Paulo, against a team called Vipers.
I went with Daniel to watch him play.
The field was all nice ... the yard lines nicely marked ...
... hehehe ... the game was at Facens.

During the 1st half of the game I was sitting by the bleachers,
then during half-time I went down to the field.
Hahahah ... I actually went to check out the boys~~
To my disappointment, they all looked alike ... @.@
huge and deformed looking with those sholders!
But, because I was Daniel's official photographer,
I took some close up pictures of him
... he was all sweaty and yucky... Ewww~~



Then on the 2n half, I went to sit with the rival team!
HAHAHAHA ... the shade there was much better.
I had actually befriended one of the girls, Janaina,
whose boyfriend was playing on the Vipers' team (#34)
and she invited me to sit over there with her ...
The view was a bit better.
Oh, I also got to know one of the wives of the Storm's player.
Her name is Samantha ... but she was away most of the game
... at a beauty parlor getting her hair done
for a wedding she was going to that evening. ^^




So the game ended after almost 4 hours!
The players looked worn out ... Daniel was exhausted.






It was a great game. Daniel played the whole time!
and the Storm won ... they're in the Championship!! ^^
(that's what Daniel said all excited ... I guess it's a good thing!!)
